Where do I start! This June, while vacationing in Florida with my mom, she unexpectedly passed away. Needless to say, my family was in shock and in a location and situation unfamiliar to us. We contacted Kersey Funeral Home close by to where we were visiting. We met the director, Mr Jackson, who guided us through the entire process from securing Mom’s remains from the hospital to her cremation. He listened to our wishes and built a portfolio of services for us based on those wishes. He was very upfront with the costs, which were very reasonable, and never pushed any services on us. He treated us like family and his care and compassion comforted us in knowing that he genuinely cared that our mom’s remains were handled with dignity and good care. With the following weekend running into the holiday weekend, time was of the essence in getting things accomplished. He was detailed in every part of the process , leaving no ambiguity. Mr Jackson and his staff made all necessary contacts and constantly kept us informed with updates. Every contact made with him and his staff was pleasant and warm. He also reminded us to honor our mom’s legacy by telling “Her story” when writing her obituary on the funeral home’s website. This added service that was included at no extra cost, has blessed our family members all over the country to share their memories in word and pictures. I praise God for this connection with Kersey. At such a horrific time in my life, I am thankful to have had the help of Amber Payne, staff and Ammen Family Cremation & Funeral Care to get me through my ordeal. Amber handled everything from helping me choose my husband's casket to burial arrangements at Cape Canaveral National Cemetary service with full military honors. She also ensured my burial in a plot next to his as i am also a veteran. I called many times needing assistance or to ask questions. If Amber wasn't available, someone else was regardless of the hour. I'll be seeing them again soon to make arrangements for myself. Everyone we met was so helpful. It happen real quick for my family to put my brother on hospice, they were kind and easy to talk to. Answered all my questions at anytime day or night.
